Habitat for Humanity International is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian
housing ministry. HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness
from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and
action.
Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build
houses together in partnership with families in need.
Habitat has built more than 225,000 houses around the world, providing more
than 1 million people in more than 3,000 communities with safe, decent,
affordable shelter. HFHI was founded in 1976 by Millard Fuller along with
his wife, Linda.
The American Diabetes Association is the nation's leading 501(C)3 non-profit
health organization providing diabetes research, information and advocacy.
Founded in 1940, the American Diabetes Association conducts programs in all
50 states and the District of Columbia, reaching hundreds of communities.
The mission of the Association is to prevent and cure diabetes and to
improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
To fulfill this mission, the American Diabetes Association funds research,
publishes scientific findings, provides information and other services to
people with diabetes, their families, health professionals and the public.
The Association is also actively involved in advocating for scientific
research and for the rights of people with diabetes.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation dedicates its resources to
spreading the message about the importance of early detection and offering free
mammograms to women who cannot afford them. The National Breast Cancer
Foundation provides help for today and hope for tomorrow. NBCF is an
official non-profit and holds 501(C)(3) Tax Exempt Status.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's
disease within the decade through an aggressively funded research agenda and to
ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
